                                                   Notice of Public Hearing

LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town of Richfield Planning Board will hold a public hearing for the Subdivision Application submitted by Steven Baron of Green Lake Home & Garden, property located at 8442 NY 28, Richfield Springs, SBL 24.00-1-18.21. The owner on record is Steven Baron.  The meeting will be held on December 8, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Richfield Town Hall, 18 E. James Street Richfield Springs. At that time the board will hear all parties for or against this application.

 

   The Richfield Town Board is accepting letters of interest for the following    appointed positions:
-Zoning Board of Appeals Member (5 year term)
-Planning Board Member (5 year term)
-Ethics Board Member 

If interested in holding one of these appointments, please send letters of interest to: Richfield Town Clerk, P.O Box 786, Richfield Springs, NY 13439. Or letters can be brought to the Town Clerk during regular business hours. All letters must be received by January 5, 2026. NY Forward Strategic Investment Plan

                                   Local Planning Committee (LPC)

The LPC is co-chaired by Larry Frigault, Town of Richfield Supervisor and Carolyn A. Lewis, Director of Legislative Affairs & Grants for Bassett Medical Center and Mohawk Valley REDC Board Member and consists of 11 other members representing a diverse cross section of the Richfield community.

The Town of Richfield was selected by the Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Development Council (REDC) to receive a $4.5 million award from New York State Governor Kathy Hochul through the NY Forward (NYF) program. Investment from this program will allow Richfield to develop a Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and implement key catalytic projects to advance the community’s vision for downtown improvements.

NY Forward is led by the Department of State, in close partnership with Empire State Development, NYS Homes and Community Renewal, and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. For more information, please visit https://www.ny.gov/programs/ny-forward.
